This is a combination of Music and drama focusing on the life of composer John Field.

in association with Opera Theatre Company

The Carrick Water Music Festival Committee is delighted to introduce the following educational programme in association with Opera Theatre Company. These selections of workshops are designed to give participants an insight into the world of music and opera from the experts! Places are limited. To take part in any of these workshops please apply in writing to:

Friday 17th 11:00 - Violin Masterclass
A first at the festival, six young musicians of grade 5 or above with be given an opportunity to attend a masterclass with the leader of OTC Orchestra for the Marriage of Figaro.
 
Saturday 18th 11:00 - I Can Sing
Unlock the power of the voice, This is a workshop for adults who want to learn more about singing. OTC's vocal Animateur will lead participants through a fun series of vocal warm-ups and exercises exploring the power of the human voice. 30 places available.
 
Saturday 18th 11:00 - Introduction to Opera
Introduction to Opera - Open to young people aged 10-14 years. This brilliant workshop includes musical rhythm games and facial warm ups leading up to the learning and performance of a two part harmony with professional opera singers. 30 places available.
